G. Wade Horne: Mr. Horne holds a B.A. in Political Science from Appalachian State University (1982) and a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington (1998). He has over 26 years experience in business, government, and nonprofit management, planning, and funding. Mr. Horne has worked as Executive Director of several nonprofit organizations including Community Developers of Beaufort-Hyde, Inc., Wynne View, Inc., NEBCED, and Jones County Youth Opportunities Inc. He was employed in various local governments as Town Manager of the Town of Emerald Isle, NC; Construction Engineer for Frank A. Rouse and Associates; Director of Planning and Inspections and County Manager for Brunswick County, NC; and Village Manager of the Village of Bald Head Island, NC. Since 1985, he has owned and operated Horne Consulting, which provides operations management consulting to numerous nonprofit, government, and for-profit business operations. Mr. Horne has supervised the daily operations of local governments and nonprofits with staffing levels up to 650 and annual budgets to $100 million. His duties have required him to interact with governments, nonprofit agencies, and the public regarding planning, funding, construction, and other multifaceted issues. Mr. Horne specializes in nonprofit finance and budgeting, grant administration, project development, and strategic planning.
Jessica L Horne: Mrs. Horne is the former owner of Jessica L String Consultants. She has served for more than seven years as a grant writer for several government and nonprofit organizations. She has broad experience in the field of project development and grant writing. She has worked with numerous for-profit, government, and nonprofit groups on a volunteer and paid basis. Ms. Horne has ten years of extensive experience planning and programming special events and activities for various disadvantaged populations. She has developed and successfully implemented diverse programs for senior populations, youth, low-income, and individuals with disabilities in North and South Carolina. |
